과로 사회에서 ‘건강한 수면’은 점점 희소한 자원이 되고 있습니다. 현대인은 피로가 깊어질수록 깊은 휴식 대신 낯선 꿈을 반복하며, 무의식 속까지 정보와 자극이 침투합니다. NAPCODE는 이러한 현상을 시각적으로 탐구하는 프로젝트로, 디지털 피로가 꿈의 영역까지 스며드는 과정을 다룹니다. 수면 실험 장비에 연결된 피험자의 꿈이 데이터처럼 해석되고 영상으로 전환되며, 현실과 무의식이 교차하는 순간을 시각화합니다. 이를 통해 NAPCODE는 현대 사회가 잃어가고 있는 ‘진정한 휴식’의 의미를 다시 묻습니다.

As exhaustion deepens, people experience strange and unfamiliar dreams instead of true rest, while information and stimuli infiltrate even the unconscious mind. NAPCODE is a visual project that explores this phenomenon, illustrating how digital fatigue seeps into the realm of dreams. The subject, connected to a sleep experiment device, has their dreams analyzed like data and translated into moving images, visualizing the intersection between reality and the unconscious.
