이 책은 보문역에서 시작했다. 어느 크리스마스 시즌, 보문역 트리에 소원 엽서가 너무 많았고 내 소원 따위는 금세 묻혀버릴 것이 분명했다. 산타에게 소원을 비는 사람을 차고 넘친다. 그 속에서 내 소원을 이루려면 무엇을 해야 하는가. 바로 ‘시선 끌기’이다. 산타의 눈에 들기 위해, 나는 주목받는 방법을 탐구하고 그 과정을 기록했다. 그 기록을 한 권의 책으로 엮어, 소원으로 가득 찬 전시장 한가운데에 전시한다. 소원을 이루기 위한 이 실험은, 누군가에 의해 읽히는 순간 비로소 힘을 얻는다.
This book started at Bomun Station. One Christmas season, there were so many wish postcards in the Bomun Station tree, and it was clear that my wishes would be buried soon. It overflows with people who make wishes to Santa. What should I do to make my wish come true in it? It's called "gaze-gazing." To catch Santa's eyes, I explored how to get attention and recorded the process. The record is woven into a book and displayed in the middle of an exhibition hall filled with wishes. This experiment to achieve a wish gains strength only the moment it is read by someone.
