정보 과잉 시대, AI 기술의 발전과 디지털 환경의 확장으로 사람들의 데이터 사용량은 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있다. 그러나 그만큼 불필요한 정보가 쌓이며 전 세계 데이터 센터의 용량은 한계에 다다르고 있다. 우리는 모든 것을 기록하고 저장하려는 강박 속에서 매일 디지털 쓰레기를 만들어낸다. VOIDSCAPE는 이러한 데이터 과잉과 저장 습관이 초래한 문제를 시각적으로 표현한 프로젝트로, 무분별한 기록의 결과를 통해 정보 과잉 시대 속에서 무엇을 남기고 어떻게 소비해야 하는지 다시 생각하게 한다.
In the age of information overload, the growth of AI and digital technology has caused data consumption to rise exponentially. Yet as unnecessary information continues to accumulate, global data centers are reaching their limits. Driven by the urge to record and store everything, we create digital waste every day. VOIDSCAPE visually explores the problems born from data excess and storage obsession.
