Synture Laboratory
Synture Laboratory는 자연이 점차 소멸해가는 미래를 배경으로, 자연이 지닌 근원적 기능을 분석하고 이를 인공적으로 재구성하는 가상의 연구소이다. 이번 프로젝트는 식물이 수행하는 네 가지 핵심 기능인 생산·정화·조절·심리를 바탕으로 각각의 인공 식물을 설계하는 과정을 담고 있다. 인공 식물은 단순한 자연의 복제물이 아니라, 기능적 구조와 형상을 통해 자연의 본질과 생명의 감각을 되묻는 장치로 제시된다. 이를 통해 기술이 만들어낸 인공적 자연의 세계와 그 한계를 동시에 마주하며, 우리가 잃어가고 있는 자연의 의미와 감각의 가치를 다시금 떠올리게 한다.

The project presents the design of synthetic plants based on four key roles—production, purification, regulation, and psychological restoration. Rather than replicating nature, these plants question the essence of life through functional form and structure. Confronting both the potential and limits of artificial ecosystems, Synture reflects on the lost senses and meanings of the natural world.
