‘내려놓기’는 철학적으로 자신을 둘러싼 욕망과 집착에서 벗어나는 과정으로 볼 수 있다. 불교에서는 이러한 ‘집착’을 고통의 근원으로 이해하며, 모든 집착과 괴로움을 내려놓아 자유로움에 이르는 상태, 즉 ‘선’에 도달하는 것을 가르친다. ‘선’에 대해 가르침을 전하는 고전 5권을 현대인이 쉽게 접할 수 있도록 소개하는 브랜드를 제작했다. 브랜드명 ‘선재’는 ‘선이 있다’라는 뜻을 담고 있으며, 선의 존재를 가능하게 하는 세 가지 요소인 무아, 중도, 팔정도를 그래픽으로 표현하였다.

In Buddhism, attachment is seen as the root of suffering, while liberation arises through the release of all clinging, leading to a state of true freedom — Zen. This project reinterprets five classical Zen teachings for modern readers. The brand name means “where Zen exists,” embodying the presence of Zen itself.
