Press: the (Ho)me
“집에 가고 싶다...” 돌아갈 곳으로서의 집을 떠올린다. 그리고 그 집은 곧 ‘나’이다. 그렇다면 나는 어떤 집일까. 나는 어디로 돌아가고 싶은 걸까. 본 프로젝트는 ‘나’ 자신을 사회 속에 놓인 집으로 가정하고, 그 구조와 형태를 도면과 다이어그램의 언어를 빌려 기록(press)한 뒤 책자로 구성한 작업이다. ‘나’라는 집은 물리적인 집(house)이라기보다, 감정과 기억이 겹쳐진 집(home)에 가깝다. 따라서 집을 공간으로 그려 본 뒤, 삶의 흐름에 따라 변해가는 구조적 모습을 표현해 보았다. 그 집이 곧 (Ho)'me', 즉 나 자신을 담은 집의 모습이다. 모두가 자신이라는 집 (Ho)me 을 한 번쯤 떠올려보길. Home Sweet (Ho)me, How Sweet House!
“I want to go home.” I think of home as a place to return to — and that home is, in fact, myself. This project imagines the self as a house within society, recorded through the visual language of architectural drawings and diagrams. Each line traces how identity builds and reshapes its own structure. Pressed and compiled into a book, it becomes a record of a house that is never complete — constantly expanding, shifting, and rebuilding over time.
