Bitter, Sweet? Rock!
‘삶은 가까이서 보면 비극, 멀리서 보면 희극’이라는 말이 있다. 이 프로젝트는 산 위 바위의 시선으로 삶을 바라본다면 어떨까 하는 생각에서 출발했다. 가상의 ‘스위스 함유 세제 광고’로 시작된 영상은 도시 사람들의 한숨이 구름이 되어 비로 쏟아지고, 세탁이 시작되며 삶이 휘말리듯 돌아가는 모습을 그린다. 회전하던 드럼통은 우주 속 지구로 변하고, 소음은 멀어지며 삶은 고요해진다. 세탁 종료음과 함께 맑아진 지구는 다시 평화로운 하루로 이어진다. 빌어먹을 세상, 까짓거 스윗하게 살아보자! And take care of your “today.”
This project began with a question — what if we viewed life from the perspective of a rock on a mountain? The video, presented as a fictional “Swiss-infused detergent commercial,” portrays sighs of city dwellers turning into clouds and rain. As laundry begins, life spins in its endless cycle. The rotating drum transforms into the Earth itself; nearby noise fades, and life becomes still. When the washing ends, a clear Earth returns to another peaceful day. Damn this world — let’s live it sweet. And take care of your “today.”
