신의 형상을 닮은 우리는 누가 가르쳐주지 않아도 아름다운 것을 좋아합니다. 그 본질적인 동경으로 보이지 않는 하나님의 집인 천국 또한 눈으로 보기에도 아름다울 것이라 생각했습니다. 본 작품은 요한계시록 전반에 나타난 천국에 대한 시각적 묘사를 바탕으로 정육면체 형상의 천국을 전개도 형식으로 펼쳐낸 시각적 상상입니다. “그 성은 네모가 반듯하여 길이와 너비가 같은지라 그 갈대 자로 그 성을 측량하니 만 이천 스다디온이요 길이와 너비와 높이가 같더라.” - 요한계시록 21:16
As beings created in the image of God, we are drawn to beauty instinctively, without the need to be taught. We believe that heaven—the dwelling place of God, unseen yet longed for at the core of our being—would also be beautiful to the eye. This work is a visual imagination of a cube-shaped heaven, rendered as a developmental drawing based on the visual descriptions of heaven in the Book of Revelation. “The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadiain length, and as wide and high as it is long." - Revelation 21:16
