미취학 아동의 언어는 문법이나 논리에 얽매이지 않은 채 단어와 이미지가 자유롭게 얽혀, 때로는 시보다 더 시적인 울림을 지닌다. 예기치 못한 비유와 생생한 심상으로 이루어진 이 표현들은 기록되지 않으면 성장과 함께 쉽게 사라진다. 본 프로젝트는 그 짧고 찬란한 언어의 순간을 수집해 시각적으로 재구성하는 작업이다. 아동 언어의 순수한 창조성과 무의식적 사고의 흐름을 왜곡하지 않기 위해 기하학적 형태와 단순한 색면으로 최소한의 조형 언어를 사용하였다. 인쇄 과정에서는 리소프린트의 색 분리와 질감을 모사해 거칠고 따뜻한 촉각을 더했다. 이 작업은 한때 세계를 새롭게 명명하던 어린 시절의 숨결이 오늘의 감각 속에 다시 살아나길 바라는 기록이다.
