‘하트’는 무조건 긍정적인 의미로만 쓰이는가? 감사, 위로, 기쁨, 공감뿐 아니라 슬픔, 혼란과 같은 감정까지도 ‘하트’로 표현할 수는 없을까. Project Cœur(프로젝트 쾨르)는 ‘하트’의 형태와 그 의미가 우리의 역사 속에서 어떻게 변화해왔는지 아카이빙하고, 더 나아가 새로운 표현방식으로서의 ‘하트’ 기호 11가지를 제안한다. 우리는 새로운 ‘하트’를 통해 더 직관적이고 다양한 방식으로 자신의 감정을 표현할 수 있으며, 그 방식은 또 하나의 새로운 의사소통 방식이 될 것이라 기대한다.

Is the “heart” always a symbol of positivity? Beyond gratitude, comfort, joy, and empathy, can it also embody emotions such as sorrow or confusion? Project Cœur explores how the form and meaning of the heart have evolved throughout history, archiving its transformations and reinterpreting it as a contemporary language of emotion. Presenting eleven new variations of the heart symbol, the project proposes fresh ways to express human feelings—more intuitively, more diversely. Through these new hearts, I hope to open a path toward another mode of emotional communication.
