치열한 현대 사회 속에서 지쳐가던 한 청년은 그저 고요히 머물고 싶다는 마음에 돌이 되고 싶다는 바람을 품는다. 쳇바퀴처럼 반복되는 일상에 삼켜진 그는 어느 순간 실제로 바위가 되어 있었다. 처음엔 해방감을 느끼지만 곧 움직임과 선택이 없는 존재로서 삶의 주체성을 잃었음을 깨닫는다. 고요 속에서 그는 인간으로 산다는 것의 본질을 마주한다. 삶은 고통과 함께 시작되며, 이는 단순한 괴로움이 아닌 존재를 성찰하게 하는 의미의 결정체다. 청년은 깨닫는다. 삶이란 고통을 피하는 것이 아니라 그 속에서 자유를 선택하고 의미를 만들어가는 것임을.
