끝없이 달아오르는 지구 위에서, 마지막까지 허락된 생존은 무엇일까요? 본 프로젝트는 인간의 언어가 아닌 식물의 몸짓으로 지구온난화를 말합니다. 아프리카 괴근식물은 고요한 침묵 속에서 극한의 땅을 견디며 뿌리를 내립니다. 그러나 기후의 균형이 무너진 순간, 그들의 생명력조차 화석이 되어 잔해로 남을지도 모릅니다. 나는 그들의 형태와 질감을 빌려, 무너진 세계 속에서 이어지지 못한 순환구조의 파편을 기록했습니다. 이는 단순한 식물의 초상이 아니라, 다가올 미래의 풍경이자 우리가 미처 감각하지 못한 비극의 초대장입니다. 그리고 묻습니다. 생명의 끝자락에서, 침묵으로만 남을지도 모를 마지막 숨결을 우리는 지켜낼 수 있을까요?

This project speaks of global warming not through human language, but through the silent gestures of plants. African caudiciforms take root in the stillness, enduring the most extreme lands. Yet when the balance of the climate collapses, even their resilient vitality may turn to stone, remaining only as fragments of the past. I borrowed their forms and textures to record the broken fragments of a world where the cycle of life can no longer continue. These are not mere portraits of plants, but visions of a future landscape — an invitation to a tragedy we have yet to fully sense.
